FormSubmit

Turn any HTML form into a working backend — just point the action attribute to FormSubmit and receive submissions via email. No server, no code, no registration.

Add a contact form to a static portfolio site hosted on GitHub Pages in under 2 minutes
Collect event RSVPs from a landing page without setting up a backend server

Unlimited forms, unlimited submissions, file uploads, webhooks, no registration required

FormSubmit is the simplest form backend available — no account needed, just point your HTML form's action URL to their endpoint. Enable reCAPTCHA to prevent spam without user friction. Use the _webhook hidden field to also send submissions to a serverless function or Zapier for automation. The API gives you 5 daily access calls to retrieve archived submissions — enough for periodic backups but not real-time queries. For anything needing a dashboard, pair with a spreadsheet via Zapier.

Add form action='https://formsubmit.co/[email protected]' → submit once to confirm email → start receiving submissions instantly. No account creation needed.

Pros

  • Zero setup: No registration, no API keys — just change the form action URL and submissions arrive in your inbox
  • Unlimited everything: No limits on forms, submissions, or file uploads on the free tier — completely unrestricted usage
  • Developer features: Webhooks, AJAX submissions, hidden fields, auto-response emails, and spam filtering built in

Cons

  • Email only: Submissions arrive as emails — no built-in dashboard, analytics, or submission management UI
  • No database: No persistent storage — submissions are emailed and archived for 30 days via API only
  • Spam risk: Without reCAPTCHA enabled, forms can attract spam submissions that flood your inbox
